Dana Arschin

Dana Arschin is a three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and the first Storyteller for the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC). Before joining HMTC, she spent six years as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for Fox 5 News, covering the New York/Tri-state area. Dana is the granddaughter of an Auschwitz survivor, her "Poppy," who passed away in December 2023 at age 101. In 2018, Dana traveled to Poland to learn more about her ancestors murdered in the Holocaust, creating three short films for Fox 5. One of those films, The Forgotten Camps, earned her a second NY Emmy Award. She started her career at News 12 The Bronx/Brooklyn, where she shot, wrote, and edited all her stories, earning her first Emmy for coverage of Brooklyn's 2014 snowstorm cleanup. She also won two NY Press Club Awards. In October 2023, Dana won her third NY Emmy for her role in the Fox 5 special Tower of Heroes.
